Bio

The Arcade Bops live band features a 6-piece ensemble covering popular video game music. Arcade Bops initially started during the 2020 pandemic when the founder of the group (Carlos Mata) put together his own 20-piece virtual orchestra to record and release on his YouTube channel. His first videos featured music from the popular game series “Animal Crossing”, eventually leading to over 35 new videos with music from over 20 different games over the past 2 years. (Now with over 430,000 views on YouTube)

In 2022, Carlos formed a live small band version of Arcade Bops, performing numerous concerts in the Las Vegas area. The initial quartet featuring himself saxophone, soon evolved into a 6-piece ensemble adding exciting vocals and expressive violin. The group performs music from Zelda, Pokémon, Portal, Animal Crossing, Metal Gear Solid, Hades, Super Mario, Kirby, Celeste, Super Smash Bros., Donkey Kong, Earthbound, Kingdom Hearts, & more (See full live band repertoire below, we can also do custom arrangements for your event)!  You can follow and stream their latest releases on Spotify, Apple Music, & YouTube.
